International students at St Mary’s had the opportunity to attend the Friendship Four Ice Hockey tournament at the Odyssey SSE Arena.

Not only did they take in the game between Dartmouth and Quinnipiac, but they were also invited to take part in the Bubble Ice Hockey game during the interval. It was a mini–World Cup on ice as students from the USA, France, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland and the Czech Republic competed against each other.

Robert Fitzpatrick (Odyssey Trust CEO), Paul Narain (USA Consul General NI) and Belfast Lord Mayor, Councillor Tina Black, spoke of the importance of the US College tournament in improving our connections with the US and showcasing Belfast across North America.
