Dr Gerard McCann from European Studies was invited to chair and present at St Hugh's College, Oxford University at the end of June. His contribution was part of the Oxford Business and Economic Conference which attracts economists, economic development specialists, policy designers and financial monitors from universities around the world and representatives of various International Financial Institutions including the World Bank.
Dr McCann's contribution to the conference was on the topic of 'The European Union's Lisbon Strategy on 'Competitive Economies' and the Implications for Development Policy'.
