College Awards

St Mary’s University College made a number of awards to recent graduates before its annual Christmas Carol Service.

Mrs Deirdre Cree, Head of Students Services, introduced the prizewinners and the sponsors:



Dr Carmel Gallagher presented GTCNI awards to Sinead Lagan and Alannah McGlinchey, the highest performing primary and post-primary students.




Mr Mark Murtagh presented the INTO Award to Laura Anne Murray, the mature student with
the highest grades in Education Studies.




Mr Mark Mc Taggart presented the Vere Foster Award to Sinead Lagan, awarded for the
highest marks on School Experience on behalf of the INTO.



Professor Peter Finn presented the Dymphna Taggart Award for high performance
in the BEd degree to Laura Anne Murray.



Mr Joe Morrison presented the Bank of Ireland Award for high academic standards and the
demonstration of professionalism and leadership to Mark Donaghy.
