Planet Aliens comes to St Mary’s!

St Mary’s University College on Belfast’s Falls Road will join Armagh Planetarium to host an exciting and unique dramatic show called Planet Aliens, Wednesday, 5th - Friday, 7th March 2014.

Planet Aliens is a live show that tells the story of outer-space aliens and the wonderful world from where they come. The event will offer three free shows per day, and over 1,000 pupils from local primary schools—including Malvern PS, Bunscoil Bheann mhadagain, Donegal Road PS, Cregagh PS, St Clare’s PS, Wheatfield PS, Springhill PS, St Luke’s PS, Bunscoil Mhic Reachtain, Sacred Heart PS, Scoil na Fuiseoige, St Mary’s Divis PS, St Paul’s Mica Drive, Holy Cross Girls’ PS, Gaelscoil na bhfal, St Coleman’s PS and St Kevin’s PS—will get a chance to enjoy a fabulous adventure in search of aliens from another planet!

With a full script and unique music, the story will teach children all about the stars and the cosmos. This live event is a first of its kind, designed and developed by D-Signs and Displays Limited of Coalisland alongside the team at Armagh Planetarium.

With an exclusively designed set—along with props, puppeteers and local actors—this truly is a heart-warming adventure into the cosmos in search of these wonderful characters.



This event is one in a series of educational outreach programmes in which Armagh Planetarium will engage with local primary schools to bring the benefits of a planetarium-like experience to them!
