The Teacher Education Advancement Network (TEAN), based at the University of Cumbria, has published the first edition of an online journal titled Student Teacher Perspectives (SteP).

The SteP journal is an online journal for student teachers. The journal is published by TEAN and is designed to showcase excellent research and scholarly activity from student teachers everywhere. All papers are recommended by student teachers’ tutors and reviewed by TEAN before publication. Most important is that all papers show student teachers as reflective practitioners with the ability to engage with theory to enhance their practice. The College is delighted that a number of St Mary’s BEd 2014 students published papers on STEM-related issues in the first issue of SteP.
