Dr Seán Mac Corraidh of St Mary’s University College, Belfast will be guest speaker at Tionól Teagaisc 2014, this year’s annual national seminar for post-primary teachers of Irish under the auspices of the Professional Development Service for Teachers (An tSeirbhís um Fhorbairt Ghairmiúil do Mhúinteoirí) based in Dublin.

The seminar will be held between 10:00 am – 4:30 pm, with registration between 9:30am – 10.00am, on Saturday, 29 November 2014 in St Patrick’s College, Drumcondra, Dublin.

It will include, among other events, a series of workshops on a wide range of topics concerning the teaching and learning of Irish with a clear focus on the promotion of pupils’ oral language skills.

The title of Dr Mac Corraidh’s talk is Foghraíocht, Fuaimniú agus Foghlaim na Gaeilge (Phonetics, Pronunciation and the Teaching of Irish).
