Peace Players International

8 October 2015

St Mary’s University College is delighted to welcome Peace Players International-Northern Ireland (PPI-NI) to the College.

PPI-NI is a cross-community charity that uses sport, in particular the game of basketball, to unite, educate and inspire people from divided communities in Belfast and selected surrounding areas.

The weekly Belfast Interface League is an evening programme that builds on the lessons of the primary school curriculum and engages young people from all over Belfast with basketball matches and community relations discussions.

The weekly programme will cater to over fifty post-primary pupils and be held on the St Mary’s campus commencing on the evening of Wednesday, 7 October at 5:00 pm.

Peace Players International-Northern Ireland makes an important contribution to our College's mission to support economic regeneration and social development initiatives which facilitate peace building and the resolution of conflict.
