Summer Transition School 2016

The West Belfast Partnership Board, supported by the Department of Education, is excited to announce the third annual Summer Transition School for pupils transferring from primary to post-primary school in August/September 2016.

Each year more than 200 students take part in the Summer Transition School, which has been designed to help smooth the transition from primary to post-primary. It encourages learning with a focus on literacy, numeracy and STEM through ICT by including activities and a trip to make it a fun experience. The Summer Transition School will be delivered by fully qualified local teachers along with students and support staff from St Mary’s University College and is open to all children from the West Belfast constituency areas who are starting first year in September 2016, including those from the Colin area.

Where:           St Mary’s University College, 191 Falls Road, Belfast
When:            Monday 15th to Friday 19th August
Time:             10:00 am-3:00 pm

The Summer Transition School is completely FREE of charge and lunch will be provided every day.
