ASSOCIATION FOR SCIENCE EDUCATION (NI) CONFERENCE 2017
Moving Forward in Science Education

St Mary’s University College will host a conference on Friday, 23 June 2017, in conjunction with the Association for Science Education (NI) involving more than 200 delegates from across Northern Ireland and Great Britain.

This event will consist of over forty workshops for post-primary school teachers, primary school teachers and technicians. Workshops will include the following topics: support for the new Council for Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) specifications, use of technology in primary and post-primary schools, self-evaluation from the Educational and Training Inspectorate (ETI) and many practical ideas in teaching science to age groups ranging from Early Years to Post-16.

The conference also will feature an exhibitor hall with exhibitions from over twenty different contributors who are experts in the field of science education. The conference aims to provide teachers with a unique opportunity to visit a range of workshops and exhibitions and to network with similar schools from across the region.
