Members of the Board of the Darfuri Association NI

Members of the Darfuri community in Northern Ireland gathered in St Mary's for an update on the state of the peace process in Darfur. The discussion was led by the Chair of the Darfuri Association, Mr Mohammed Idris, who outlined the aspirations for peace and stability in the Horn of Africa region.

Dr Gerard McCann, Senior Lecturer in St Mary's, also addressed the audience on options for micro-development initiatives which could assist in the peace building drive throughout the areas affected.
