Mr Peter Finn, Acting Principal received the following from Joan Hazley at Action Cancer.
“The members of the Lisburn Action Cancer Group would like to let you know how much we appreciate receiving the amazing sum of £3912.41 which was raised by the Staff and Students of your Art Department.
A few of our members were present at the Art Exhibition in St Mary's on the 8th June and saw at first hand the excitement and enthusiasm these young people had in staging their own exhibition and raising funds for Action Cancer through their sales.
Needless to say we had a lovely evening at St Mary's, meeting and talking to the Staff and Students, especially Deirdre Robson who was so helpful to us. The whole evening was a great success, both socially and financially!
It is unexpected events such as this and people like your Staff and Students that help Action Cancer in Northern Ireland to maintain and provide their many services for the early detection of cancer.
