St Mary's University College has entered into discussions on an innovative transatlantic partnership with Cabrini College in Philadelphia, USA. A highly respected Liberal Arts college in the United States, Cabrini specialises in education, business, law and science degree programmes. The discussions are currently being led by Professor Erin McLaughlin, Chair of the Business Department and Director of Global Learning, and Professor Peter Finn, Principal of St Mary's.
Dr Gerard McCann and John Brolly from the College's International Office are currently working on a bi-lateral agreement which will include student and staff exchanges and joint research projects.

Professor Finn commented that:
"This is an exciting development in the internationalisation strategy of the College and will strengthen our links with academics and students in the USA. We are particularly pleased to see connections developing with the city of Philadelphia and with a Liberal Arts and Education environment, matching what we have here in Belfast".
