Distinguished poet Michael Longley to visit College

The distinguished, Belfast-born poet Michael Longley is visiting the English Department in the College on Monday 15 January. He will give a reading in Room 232 at 12.30 pm and will answer questions afterwards. Everyone is welcome.

Michael Longley is the winner of the Whitbread Poetry Prize (1991), the TS Eliot Prize (2000), the Hawthornden Prize, and the recipient of the Queen's Gold Medal for Poetry in 2001. He holds honorary doctorates from both Queen's University and Trinity College Dublin.

Three 3rd year English students, Declan Crozier, Brenda Vallely and Helena Honey, have organized everything from the invitation to the various logistical arrangements.
