Over two hundred and fifty St Mary’s students graduated from the Whitla Hall at Queen’s University on Monday, 6 July, with Honours degrees in Education and Liberal Arts.
Queen’s University Vice-Chancellor, Professor Paddy Johnston, presided at the event and congratulated each student on their achievement. The College Principal, Professor Peter Finn, presented the students to the Vice-Chancellor.
The honorary graduate at the ceremony was Dr Shaun Kelly who is originally from West Belfast where he attended Holy Child Primary School as well as Christian Brothers Grammar School. Dr Kelly is now based in New York as Vice-Chair of KPMG, leading a team of four thousand tax professionals.
