In the words of Rev Dr Niall Coll, editor of Le Chéile, “this Christmas image… is far from sentimental”. It was taken last year in a tent camp in Erbil in northern Iraq.
In the editor’s welcome to the 24th issue of the Catholic school ethos journal, Fr Niall reminds us that Jesus Christ was born into a poor family and his ministry was mostly among the poor.
His message however was one of hope and it is in that context that St Mary’s wishes a blessed and happy Christmas to all members of its extended community and to all our partners.
