St Mary’s University College was pleased to welcome Education Minister, Peter Weir MLA to the campus on Wednesday, 9 November.
The Minister is pictured with some international students from Slovakia, Italy and Austria as well as the College Principal, Professor Peter Finn and Dr Gerard McCann who is responsible for international projects at St Mary’s.
Mr Weir also met with Dr Kieran McGeown from St Mary's and Dr Michael Ievers from Stranmillis University College. Kieran and Michael are working collaboratively on a primary school based research project which focuses on how practical, problem-solving activities affect academic performance in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). |
