The website of the Association for Achievement and Improvement through Assessment has information on developments in assessment at all levels of education, with links to publications and relevant websites. There is also an archive of material dating from 2010.

BBC Schools

The BBC schools website includes links to their educational programmes and online learning resources for subjects at all Key Stages, to the BBC NI Schools site and a teachers' section with interactive resources.

BBC Northern Ireland Learning Resources
This website offers a free interactive online learning service for 5 -16 year olds as well as information about TV and radio programmes and printed resources. Teachers can also go to the BBC NI Schools site which provides free educational resources.

Free Teaching Resources

Free Teaching Resources UK has lesson plans and worksheets which have been reviewed and are ready for teachers to use. They cover all Key Stages and all school subjects at primary and post-primary level. Many of the teaching ideas are produced by museums and organisations especially for the UK curriculum.

Online Teaching Degree

This is an American website offering general information and resources for students considering a career in education. The site includes video interviews with teachers and students and an overview of the teaching profession in America. Although primarily aimed at the American market some sections are still universally relevant.

SCoTENS

The Standing Conference on Teacher Education North and South website. There are resources on special Education, citizenship education and digital video which have been designed for teachers and teacher educators throughout the island of Ireland.

TeachNet Ireland

TeachNet Ireland aims to encourage Irish teachers at both primary and post-primary levels to develop and publish quality indigenous curriculum content on the internet, by providing a supportive network, funding and teacher professional development opportunities.

TES (Times Education Supplement)

The TES website is updated daily with new jobs, plus contributions from teachers sharing resources and swapping ideas.


TES New Teachers

This TES site has tips for new teachers, expert blogs, information on teaching jobs, and free resources on a range of subjects.

Times Higher Education
The website has many online articles and information about higher education jobs and features.

Unicef

UNICEF UK education section has a wide range of teaching resources, some of which are available to download.
